Preschool Graduation

The Dude and Miss. Thang had their preschool graduation last week.  HP and Peanut were there as well performing a song with their class and getting a "Certificate of Achievement".  These pictures are a little grainy, but you get the gist of the ceremony.

The Dude is in the back row in the middle of the picture.  He is the only one looking at me.  Gotta love the graduation hats!

Mr. Man with his hair styled like Daddy.  At his parent/teacher conference his teacher told me he was very popular with the girls in class.  I can see why.  Such a cutie.
HP talking to Swanny Jr.  It is so cute to see the kids outside of the daycare setting.  It can be a few minutes or a few hours since they have last seen each other, but they are ALWAYS so happy to see their friends.

They are GENIUSES!

HP and Peanut are the best of friends.  They truly love each other and get along wonderfully 99% of the time.  They have the uncanny ability to take something ordinary and kick it up a notch.  For some reason, they felt the need, not to paint with their hands, but rather, their mouths.

Watching the spontaneity of children is one of the best perks of my job!

Wherever Peanut is, you can guarantee that Swanny Jr. is not far behind.  Here he is giving me his "Power to the People!" fist.  I taught him that. :)

Wordless Wednesday

Hairy Christmas!

The little boys never really play dress up.  I decided to remedy that this morning...

Shmook was a good sport.  He kept the wig on his head and was actually smiling (though not in THIS picture).

Swanny Jr was a bit more reserved.  He didn't fuss, but looked at me in a get-this-freaking-thing-off-my-head sort of way.  He is such a good little guy!

New Crew Member- Swanny Jr.

We have a lovely new addition to daycare, his name is Swanny Jr. (not his REAL name, although Swanny would be an interesting first name)!  He is the softest, cuddliest, sweetest little baby!  

Today is only his second day at daycare and he is adjusting nicely.  I think it must be hard to go from relative calmness (except for when big sis Peanut decides to crank up the volume) to the chaotic fun-fest that happens here on a daily basis.  

Swanny Jr. is taking in his surroundings and the older kids are lovin' on him!  

Peanut is the authority on all things Swanny Jr. and informs the kids to "give him some space" before I even have to.  She also tries to talk with him when he is crying, cooing "it's okay baby brother, don't cry".  It melts my heart.

Before he was born, Peanut had a couple of meltdowns at daycare over the prospect of being a big sister.  I am happy to say, not only has she overcome any reservations she may have had, she is absolutely reveling in her new role!
